In addition, the Moviola had one feature that other machines of this kind, designed to be stationary, did not have: it could be easily transported and could thus be used in any place with a supply of electricity. In this respect the Moviola was unlike another viewer designed at the same time in Germany and exported throughout Europe: the Lyta, known as the “Lytascope,” the “Lyta-Kinoscope” or the “Kinoscope Lyta.” It was manufactured by the Apparatebau Freiberg company.
