Seen “from outside,” a third shot lets us contemplate the entire set and appreciate the range of the crane, on which sits the diegetic camera. We are in the Victorine film studios in Nice, an emblematic site in French cinema for the production of standards, and the camera model used, along with the machinery, are integral parts of this portrait, which takes the form of the work of creating a grandiose mise en scène.
