An Artisanal Generator of White Noise
Let us now look at the way in which white noise can be produced from an electric circuit. In his article, Gupta explains how to create this kind of circuit with the goal of sending a white noise signal to an oscilloscope.
To create the circuit, one must assemble the following elements: a transistor, a Zener diode, two resistors, a capacitor, three simple Berg headers and a prototype board such as Veroboard. One must also have a soldering iron, solder wire and a source of electricity with an output pressure of between 26 and 30 V. Finally, in order to test the circuit and make the noise audible, an oscilloscope and an amplifier will be necessary.
The circuit is relatively simple, as can be seen in the diagram below and the photographs taken by the author.
