Making Film Music Digitally: Temp Tracks and Mock-ups - Text 5

Most virtual instruments used by Roussel are played by the Kontakt samples player (by Native Instruments), with the exception of the Vienna Symphonic Library, which has its own playback device.[17] He has used a range of sources for the sounds of his symphonic orchestra: Hollywood Strings (by Eastwest), Symphobia (Sam Samples), Los Angeles Scoring Strings (Audiobro), Cinebrass (Cinesamples) and the Vienna Symphonic Library; the non-symphonic sounds come from East West Rare Instruments (Eastwest), Zero-G Harmonica (Zero-G) and Omnisphere (Spectrasonics).
